Since May 2019, Ms. Shimizu Sayuri, a JICA volunteer, has started to work at Future School. In addition to assisting teachers in teaching for group of students with severe disabilities, Ms. Sayuri also assisted the teachers in organizing many interesting motor activities during break time. Together with FGCDC's team, Ms. Sayuri had shared teaching experiences and methods to support children with our teachers during our teacher training activities.

With the support of Liliane Fonds - RCI, 44 children with disabilities has been partly financed the school fee and treatment fee. In the last quarter, the FGCDC has supported RCI to carry out a several activities such as the research on "Transition from childhood to adulthood of children with disabilities in Vietnam" and "Photovoice 2019".

The Future School has started the new school year 2019 - 2020 in August 2019. In this school year, the school has recruited 10 new students in the total of 61 students aged from 6 to 28 with a wide range of intellectual disabilities.

In order to help disadvantaged students to go to school and develop skills at Future School, Duc Son Orphanage, Early Intervention Center, we are very happy to get the support from Bretagne Vietnam Association and Netherlands Leprosy Relief- Liliane Foundation. With these support, our stusdents have the opportunity to go to school, develop skills and integrate into the community.

On September 5th 2017, the Future school organized the opening ceremony of new school year of 2017-2018 with the participation of the Youth Center, authority's representatives, teachers, parents and students. Besides the education program for students, the school is constantly developing vocational education programs in the hope that the older students are able to generate more income and live more independently in the future.
